Overview

Zion Hill CDC comprehensively addresses the whole person—physically, mentally, socially, economically, and spiritually. In less than three years of operation, Zion Hill CDC has served over 100 individuals and families and looks to continue to service the community at large.

Our History

Zion Hill Community Development Corporation is a growing community development entity, birthed out of Zion Hill Baptist Church, a 133 year-old institution that has an unwavering dedication to community service. This passionate dedication has deepened into a mission and vision to serve impoverished and disenfranchiised families and individuals. Through this vision, Zion Hill Community Development Corporation was organized and opened its doors in January 2004 for the express purpose of meeting the needs of individuals and families in a holistic manner. Zion Hill Baptist Church continues to support the organization through in-kind donations, financial contributions, and volunteer efforts.

Our Future

Our chief objective is to become a comprehensive community economic development organization for the Atlanta-East Point community. Zion Hill Community Development Corporation seeks to be a catalyst for community revitalization and change through faith-based intitiatives. The primary mission of the organization is to extend divine love and service to the community at large. We imagine a future in which individuals and families experiencing life's hardships will have a safe and supportive environment in which to make responsible decisions, grow spiritually, and become economically independent.

Our Facilities

In the spirit of revitalization and asset-based development, Zion Hill CDC occupies two buildings that have been a part of the East Point community for many years. The renovated space serves as a community hub for services, referrals, and outreach. The facilities include a computer lab, donations center, classroom space, and administrative offices.
