Individual Development Accounts
Buying a home. Completing a degree. Starting a business. Many people
struggle with these aspirations daily due to a lack of knowledge,
money, or the needed support. That's why the Zion Hill Community
Development Corporation has initiated a Individual Development Account
(IDA) program to help individuals save the money needed to purchase a
home, further education or become an entrepreneur.
The program provides participants with an opportunity to save for a
specific asset and have their savings matched 2:1 with funds provided
in part through a grant from the US Department of Health and Human
Services. Participants save up to $1,000 and the Zion Hill CDC IDA
program will match their savings with another $2,000 for a total
savings of $3,000.
